A photo taken of my creative alter at my desk during day one of the Isolation digital residency.

The framed photo is of cinematographer Raoul Coutard shooting the groundbreaking French New Wave film Breathless.

It is a reminder of an innovative artistic movement made up of young people who were fed up with the status quo.

A reminder to take creative risks.

And a reminder of how expansive the canvas of the world is for our art making.

Part one of The Sky Remains, a video essay I'm creating for this digital residency called about the poet Rilke, isolation, creativity, and the art that holds us together during times of crisis. 3 more to follow!

Part 2 of The Sky Remains explores Rilke's life and his own experiences with sickness, creativity, and isolation.

Part 3 of The Sky Remains that explores my own personal connection to this Rilke poem.

Here is the 4th and final chapter of The Sky Remains. The film ends with a reading of Rilke's final stanzas. I will posting a video that includes all the chapters later today.
