Tugce Karapinar

I am a mixed media artist who predominately explores the development of my art through oil painting, photography and digital arts. My artistic practice focuses on exploring the organic trails within nature such as, connecting the fluctuating path of starling birds through continuous digital line drawings on photographs and or showcasing swatches of the sea conveying infinite patterns, textures and shapes.

My most recent series of work: 'Infinite Echo' portrays surreal realities created through layered photographs of varied seascapes. Utilising the original photograph as a blank canvas I manipulate several layers of different images through Photoshop. Through this process, I am to create compositions that explore the relationship between textural qualities, patterns and colour. A process of elimination of the layered photographs enables me to create organic shapes that either reduce or increase in size; echoing the fragility and uncertainty of the sea. //
