Ole Brodersen

Lyngør, Norway

Ole Brodersen‘s work explores encounters between man and nature, and is produced in Lyngør, a car free island society, where Brodersen grew up and lives as the 12th generation of his family. He is strongly connected to this place and the maritime elements here dominate his work. His father is a sailmaker, his grandfather was a sailor and he himself used to row to school and has circumnavigated the Atlantic Ocean.


Brodersen‘s photographs has the last year been on display in Boston, Paris and multiple locations in Norway. He has also exhibited in New York, Los Angeles and Vancouver. The New Yorker and Harper‘s Magazine has written about his work. His works has been acquired by private and public collections in Norway, Sweden, Serbia, Malawi, Portugal, the United Arab Emirates and USA.
