An interdisciplinary artist currently based in Florence, Italy while pursuing a MFA in Studio Arts. His artistic practice is primarily focused on photography and 3-dimensional artwork dealing with concepts of time, space, and existence within the philosophical framework of object oriented ontology. Retired from the Oregon Army National Guard (US Army) in 2016 after 24 years of military service including a peacekeeping tour in the Sinai, and combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. Military experience has shaped his beliefs in the transient presence, and the necessity to create in a world filled with destruction.
Received a BFA in Art and Design from Western Oregon University, Monmouth, Oregon in 2019, and currently attending the MFA Studio Arts program at Studio Arts College International in Florence, Italy, expecting to graduate in 2021. He has been exhibiting works since 2011 ranging from digital photography, woodblock and linoleum prints, to sculptural works in local, regional, national and international art exhibitions.
