Emma TS Robinson
Emma Robinson is a London-based freelance photographer and artist.
Her practice includes photography and making, working mainly with still life photography and fabricating or arranging objects for the camera.
She is driven by a fascination with the alluring and elusive quality of photographs, and the desire to convey meaning and tell stories through still life photography.
Inspired by nature she reflects on the cycle of life and the passing of time. She photographs objects and explores their potential as metaphors for themes including the transience of life, memory, and the never ending cycles of birth, life and death.
Originally trained as an architect Emma's work reflects this; expressed in her interest in carefully constructed images, using the studio as a stage.
She holds a Masters in Photographic Studies (University of Westminster, 2012).
